Data Deletion Policy
Effective Date: 17 August 2026 ยท Last Updated: 17 August 2026
Protigi Technology ("Protigi", "we", "us", or "our") respects your right to request deletion of personal information that we hold about you, subject to applicable law and legitimate business, contractual and regulatory requirements.
This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request deletion of personal information collected through the Protigi Technology website and related online interactions.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to personal information that Protigi may collect through:
- the Protigi website;
- website enquiry forms;
- consultation requests;
- contact forms;
- email communications;
- marketing communications; and
- other online interactions directly operated by Protigi.
This Policy does not automatically require deletion of information that Protigi is legally or contractually required to retain.
2. How to Request Data Deletion
To request deletion of your personal information, send an email to erp@protigi.in.
Please use the subject: Data Deletion Request
Your request should, where reasonably possible, include:
- your name;
- email address or telephone number previously provided to Protigi;
- company name, if applicable;
- a description of the information you want deleted; and
- any other information reasonably necessary for us to identify the relevant records.
You do not need to provide information that is unrelated to the request.
3. Verification
To protect personal information from unauthorized deletion, we may need to verify your identity or verify that you are authorized to make the request.
We may ask for additional information where reasonably necessary to complete this verification.
We will not normally request passwords, authentication credentials or other unnecessary sensitive information for verification.
4. What We May Delete
Depending on the circumstances, we may delete or anonymize information such as:
- website enquiry information;
- marketing contact information;
- consultation request information;
- non-essential website interaction information; and
- other personal information that is no longer required for a legitimate purpose.
Where technically and legally appropriate, we will take reasonable steps to remove the relevant information from active systems.
5. Information We May Need to Retain
Deletion may not be possible where information must be retained for reasons including:
- compliance with applicable law;
- tax or accounting requirements;
- contractual obligations;
- prevention of fraud or abuse;
- establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims;
- information contained in legally required business records;
- security and audit records that must reasonably be retained; or
- other legitimate purposes permitted under applicable law.
Where deletion is not possible, we will seek to limit further use of the information to the purpose for which retention is required.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
Protigi may use third-party providers for hosting, CRM, email, analytics, security, communication and other business functions.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we may request deletion or removal of relevant personal information from service providers that process information on our behalf.
However, deletion from a third-party service may be subject to that provider's own technical capabilities, legal obligations and retention requirements.
7. Backup Systems
Some information may remain temporarily in secure backup or disaster-recovery systems after deletion from active systems.
Where this occurs, the information will be subject to appropriate access controls and will be removed or overwritten according to the applicable backup-retention cycle, unless retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.
8. Processing of Deletion Requests
We will review deletion requests and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.
Where we cannot fulfil a request fully or partially, we will provide an explanation where required or reasonably appropriate.
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 establish India's framework for digital personal-data protection, with provisions being brought into force according to the Government's notified implementation schedule. Requests will therefore be handled according to the applicable legal requirements in force at the time of the request.
9. Marketing Opt-Out
If you do not want to receive marketing communications from Protigi, you may request that we stop such communications by emailing erp@protigi.in with the subject: Marketing Opt-Out
Where applicable, you may also use the unsubscribe mechanism included in a marketing communication.
A marketing opt-out does not necessarily require deletion of information that we are otherwise entitled or required to retain.
10. Account or Service Data
If you are a customer of Protigi and your information is stored as part of a separately contracted ERP, enterprise software, support or other service, deletion will be handled according to the applicable customer agreement and data-processing arrangements.
Deletion of customer-system data may require coordination with:
- the customer;
- system administrators;
- hosting providers;
- backup systems; or
- third-party technology providers.
For such requests, please identify the relevant customer organization and system where possible.
11. Data Associated With Third-Party Platforms
If your information was submitted directly to a third-party platform, application or service rather than to Protigi, the deletion request may need to be directed to that third party.
For example, where information is collected or processed directly by a third-party communication, social-media, cloud or software platform, that platform's own privacy and deletion procedures may apply.
Protigi will assist where appropriate and where we have control over the relevant information.
